Marcela Hanford was born in Switzerland to Mexican parents. She was raised in Moscow, Rome, New York City, and Tokyo. She attended Lasalle College of the Arts in Singapore and graduated from American University in Washington D.C. Marcela’s multicultural education and travels bring depth, vibrancy, and a broad set of skills to her works. She currently lives and works in rural upstate New York.
